The history begins with a Japanese dermatologist Dr Shoji Okuda (1886-1962), who published a revolutionary method in a medical journal using small instruments similar to today's instruments that are being applied. Not only for hair transplantation but also eyebrows, beard, mustache and other areas where the hair is present. Unfortunately, due to the war that followed his method did not find sympathy from the West.
Hair transplantation began in 1950, but the appearance was very unnatural, the so-called "doll" effect. Dr. Norman Orentreich began with experimental ideas by relocating hair from the back of the head to the area where hair fell off.
1960-1970 Hair transplantation is becoming very popular and then it is already considered to reduce the instrument's diameter to make the result look natural. Certainly, the donor part of the head suffered big traumas and scars, often following major pains along with unavoidable swelling.
Hair scarring is experiencing a great shift and instruments that have been used up until then are replaced with mini and micrographs (small instruments). The donor part was still separated through the scalpel, and the micrographs were split into the grafts with scalpel, which most probably damage the follicles. The mini graft contained 4 to 8 hairs.
Dr. Robert Bernstein has presented his research "Follicular Transplantation" by presenting a binocular microscope from Dr. Bobby Limmer from San Antonio - Texas as one of the options for easier follicular separation and better results.
An incinerator is introduced, a tool that improves the sustainability of follicles.
The technique evolves in response to surgical novelties in hair transplantation. Within this procedure, the number of follicles that can be implanted during one day (2,000 follicles)
SHF (Single Hair Follicle) The technique was introduced and accepted as an improved version of the FUE Hair Transplant Method
Research, advanced diagnostics and superior treatments are introduced.
Philosophy is respected to provide each client with the highest quality service. A natural result is set as a goal.
Direct implantation of hair, a minimally invasive technique, is introduced, which sets new standards of quality in the field of hair transplantation.
The technique of introducing Platelet-rich plasma, plasma enriched with platelets in hair transplantation, is being advanced.
The application of micropigmentation commences, one type of tattoo, which is used in extreme cases when the donor part is not good enough.
AHT (Advance Hair Transplantation) method is being formulated and colostrum and peptide use is introduced with regular Plasma therapy in order to achieve a better result.
In the AHT method, using special elements, the percentage of hair transplant performance increased to over 90%.
At the jubilee on 25th ISHRS congress, AHT technique decides to introduce the S.A.F.E HEX Technology system using the most advanced instruments presented as an innovation. An ATP-v BioElemnts, additive for better preservation of follicles is also introduced.
At the European Congress in Oxford, we hold a lecture on innovation in hair transplantation. The ATH method was awarded by the President of EMA (European Medical Association), Dr Vincenzo Costigliola, for the prestigious BEST MEDICAL PRACTICE Award in Hair Transplantation.
Highlighting in its work and top results, the ATH method has become the only accredited method in Serbia registered with the Serbian Ministry of Health. The AHT method is the only one receiving accreditation for training other physicians in the field of hair transplantation.
The ATH method was most recognised method as successful result, not only in Serbia but also worldwide in Balcan countries. Those results gave the best density as the final result.
Due to these results many countries want to use our method and eventually get the franchise.
Many specialised trainings had been done in the past successs year. Those young doctors are opened to operate with us no matter how many operations we have. In that way we optained the great team in order to overcome every expectations of our patients.
According to medical regulation in Serbia, only hospitals are avalable to perfom hair trasplant procedures. Many cosmetic clinics or regular medical clinics still perform hair transplantations procedures and in that way they avoid strict law medical regulations and open the black market. In the past few years, these cheap procedures ( not following regulations ) are extremely popular in Turkey. They lowered the price and attract many patients around the globe putting them under the delusion. The patients are not aware of getting no proper doctors, only nurses and technicians perform operations without any high education (not to mention the medical degree).
